Okay, if you haven't seen Christopher Nolan's Inception yet, consider it on your to-do list for the weekend. I'm doing you a favor here. Not only is it an incredible film, but with the recent heat (and expected rainy weekend) and a run time of 148 minutes, it's a great air-conditioned way to spend a boiling afternoon.
So, maybe psychological thrillers don't entirely make you think of weddings right off the bat, but let me just say that Inception is packed with bold colors, seasonal landscapes, and an insane variety of architecture and design. Go check it out, and maybe you'll come up with some inspiration of your own!

Photo of the Week: An Underwater Engagement
Colorado has so many amazing options for engagement sessions. Hop in the car for a short drive and you can find yourself in the heart of desert-like sand dunes or thousands of feet high in a mountain of snow. That's serious versatility.
Photographer Jenny Smith of Alders Photography recently posted an engagement session to her blog with so much flair it even impresses us Coloradans! To pull off this underwater engagement session, Nicole and Broc purchased second-hand wedding apparel and jumped right in. Such a creative idea, Nicole and Broc!

Wedding Inspiration: Dolling Up Doggie
Today instead of bringing you something to be inspired by, we bring you something that inspired us! At Roxanne & John's Keystone wedding, Roxanne hand-made their dog, Layla, a flowered collar so she could take part in their special day and look fabulous while doing it.
At Classic Creations we have special relationships with our dogs as well, so we know how important it can be to include your pooch in your party. Pecan Pie Puppies crafts the cutest hand-made dog collars that could even make Cruella Devil swoon (in a good, non-dognapping way).
Not only are these collars absolutely adorable, coming in a variety of shades to coordinate with any color-scheme or canine personality, but the proceeds help fund the founder's animal rescue efforts!

Real Wedding: Roxanne & John
They're finally here! After a few weeks of sleepless nights and hopeless anticipation, we finally have the photos from Roxanne and John's Keystone wedding...and you're going to want to sit down for these, folks.
Roxanne and John are an extremely fun couple, completely in love (I caught John mouthing "I love you so much" to Roxanne during the ceremony more than once). Their incredibly intimate and personal wedding totally reflected Roxanne and John as a couple - they even included their beyond adorable yellow lab, Layla, who strutted her stuff down the aisle during the ceremony! The ceremony and reception were held on a mountain at the tip-top of Keystone, which made for nice, cool weather and a beautiful view.
Colorado Wedding Photographers, Jason + Gina, did above and beyond amazing work capturing this day.
While the ladies were getting ready, the gentlemen took some time to sip on some Balveine scotch while watching the USA play a World Cup quarter-finals match. Great way to gear up for an afternoon mountain wedding.
The reception was such a fantastic time. It was John's birthday the following day, and Roxanne surprised him with a special birthday cake while their stellar band, Chase n the Dream, sang a special birthday song. For their guest book, the couple had a lift chair set up in the corner for guests to take photos in - their photos were instantly added to the guest book, where guests could leave them a message.

DIY: Fabric Flowers
Perhaps you've been spending a lot of time stressing over wedding details. One great way to occupy your racing mind and keep twiddling fingers busy is to start creating your own fabric flowers.

Pretty petals can make a fantastic accent to so many aspects of a wedding. Flower girls can douse the aisle with satin snapdragons, while guests can be greeted with bags of bulbs to toss in celebration after the ceremony. Whether you use fabric flowers to accent napkin rings, snap onto shoes or sashes, or even to create accent garlands, they can provide the perfect touch of color to your wedding.
Here is a tutorial for how to make these little darlings from one of our favorite wedding blogs, 100 Layer Cake. Enjoy!
Thanks to 100 Layer Cake, Kiss the Groom Photography, and Martha Stewart Weddings for the fantastic photos.

Real Wedding - Katie & John, Pre-Wedding Cocktails!
Brrr... it's cold outside today! Leave it to Denver to be in the 90s yesterday and in the 50s this morning!
Not too long ago we posted some fantastic preview photos from Katie & John's incredibly fun wedding in Mexico. With Denver weather a bit on the chilly side today, let's remind ourselves that the sun and summer is out there somewhere... specifically at Katie & John's colorful cocktail party they threw the day before their wedding.
They're inspiring enough to make you throw your jacket to the wind, whip up some spicy salsa and margaritas, and fiesta your way through this mini-cold front. Salud to Katie & John!
Muchas Gracias to Mexico Wedding Photographer Fer Juaristi for sending along these fantastic photos!
