Real Wedding - Little Nell & Aspen Chapel, Fall Wedding

Danaria and Tim's Wedding

Little Nell and Aspen Chapel

"Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance, with the stars up above in your eyes.....a fantabulous night to make romance neath the cover of October skies" The couple used these song lyrics in all aspects of their wedding design....including their first dance under the stars!

It truly was a fantabulous fall day in the Colorado Rocky Mountains! Danaria and Tim had asked that we pull some of their fun and playfulness personalities in to the wedding as well as using the stained glass from the chapel as an inspiration.

We had these beautiful programs in a toy wagon decorated with wheat clusters and wool blanket inside.

Wheat clusters on the pews...and our lovely stained glass.

Danaria's family had been collecting antique glass to use as centerpieces and we had tall beautiful arrangements with crystals and candles dripping from branches.

For our cake base, we had a glowing acrylic box designed to match the stained glass. The couple wanted fun favors, to reflect their love of music they made a CD and paired it with a treat of jams...Music to Jam to!
Thanks to all those who helped make this a great event!

Wedding Reception - Another Yummy Signature Drink!

I love doing signature drinks, I think it's a fun way to add to the personality of your event...and who says they have to be served only during cocktail hour?

(Lots and lots of martinis!...the last one is one we made up and called the Bridal Blush)
I saw this one in the most recent edition of Special Events Magazine, concocted by the Hilton Americas Houston....sounded so incredibly delicious I had to share it with you! It's called a Wedding Cake Martini and they say it's similar to a fruity, sweet slice of cake. Can't wait to try it...give it a whirl and let me know what you think?
Wedding Cake Martini

2 oz vanilla vodka
2 oz pineapple juice
2 oz sweet-and-sour

Shake vigorously over ice and strain into a sugar-rimmed martini glass.

Real Weddings - Magnolia Hotel, Colorado, Contemporary in White

Danielle and Matt
Magnolia Hotel

Lots and lots and lots of glass...filled with candles and water and each arrangements of white flowers in a singular flower made this a stunning, contemporary event....BUT her crowd made it a par-tee!!! Complete with a second line band (reflecting the bride's hometown, New Orleans) that led the guests on a parade from the ceremony to the reception stopping traffic in downtown Denver as onlookers cheered them on.....I think a few even joined in the parade! As dancing was starting we switched on our red theater lights to create a completely HOT scene.

Thanks to the following for making this a spectacular event!

Real Wedding - Red Rocks and JW Marriott, Colorado

Christine and Kemp

Wow! This wedding was so beautiful, you never would guess all the little problems we had leading up to it!

We were getting ready to order invitations, the day we were going to release the proof our reception venue, Red Rocks, called and said a concert had booked any we had a conflict that we would have to buy tickets for our guests. Which we weren't going to do, so basically we didn't have a venue any longer!!!! So very quickly we had to find another location....I called my friends at the JW Marriott in Cherry Creek and luckily they had the tent space available. I don't think it could've worked any better, it worked so well for their crowd!

Then, 2 days before the wedding our ceremony was to take place outside at the Trading Post at Red Rocks. It was SO COLD!!!! So we had to move to our back up location....Red Rocks Visitor Center......still the same problem with the band. After 24 hours of trying to figure out if the band would let us in during their sound check they agreed and we were allowed to use the back up space. Thank goodness! Outside of the Trading Post were about 25 tour buses, all running and stinkin' up the place! I'm a firm believer in things happen for a reason!

It ended up being a wonderful day.....(check out these amazing photos by Marilee Langner)
Their inside ceremony at the rock room.

The girls! Love the umbrellas ladies!
Bella Fiori outdid themselves!

The flowergirl wands.

Gorgeous centerpieces...we had a tall and low one...with lots of candles!

I loved her cake! (Makery)
Kemp loves Homer Simpson, so this was his grooms cake.

Inspirations from the Bridal Consultant Convention

Just returned from a convention. Always such fun and rejuvenating! Full of inspirational ideas and people.

...and speaking of inspiration, I had the opportunity to hear Colin Cowie speak. He does such amazing work for the rich and famous! I was thrilled to get a photo with him!

Now imagine getting together with 300 of your event planning peers- everything is done to impress! Here are some photos from our luncheons, I think they are great inspiration photos!

You know, just a simple luncheon....

Those are hydrangea at the top and hydrangea and roses the bottom.

Another luncheon....

Love the ribbon wrap and bedazzled look of this one..such a simple idea with max impact!

This simple cylindrical vase was covered with glued on REAL rose petals.

Gorgeous cake with lots of crystals on it. Desperately wanted to touch it...couldn't...sigh!
